Recovery Nurse

The Recovery Staff Nurse is responsible for the smooth management of recovery patients (pre and post), and all related daily operations.

1. Receive patients with consent forms.
2. Ensure consent forms have the correct patient information and have been signed by the concerned authority.
3. Ensure patients are shifted to pre-operative recovery properly, monitors are attached, and pre-operative recovery management is fulfilled.
4. Assist in post-procedure recovery, after patients are received from the OR with specimens.
5. Perform cannulation in the recovery room, attaching fluids as required.
6. Monitor and verify patient's dietary status and NPO times.
7. Shift patients to the OR, following all protocols and ensure proper handover to Technicians / Senior Technicians.
8. Update patient's history and details on the HMIS.
9. Shift patients from recovery to wards, following all protocols and ensure proper handover to ward staff.
10. Perform all tasks assigned by the supervisor / Head of Department.
