We're looking for a skilled WordPress + PHP Developer to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering innovative web solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Website Development
   
   • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring they are responsive, user-friendly, and adhere to accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA).
   
   • Implement custom themes, plugins, and integrations to meet client-specific needs.
2. Back-End Development
   
   • Write clean, efficient, and reusable PHP code for custom features, APIs, and integrations.
   
   • Optimize websites for performance, scalability, and security (e.g., HTTPS, SSL).
3. Accessibility and Testing
   
   • Conduct accessibility audits and ensure compliance with WCAG standards.
   
   • Perform cross-browser, cross-device testing to ensure consistent functionality.
4. Interactive Features
   
   • Build and integrate tools such as forms, query lookups, and calculators.
   
   • Ensure seamless integration with third-party tools and APIs (e.g., social media, analytics).
5. Project Collaboration
   
   • Work independently as the Canadian team will be working the Evening/Night shift hours. Meetings will be set up at overlapping times.
   
   • Participate in planning, milestone tracking, and status reporting.
6. Support and Maintenance
   
   • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing websites, including updates and troubleshooting.

Job Specification:

Requirements

1. Technical Skills
   
   • Proven experience with WordPress development, including custom themes, plugins, and integrations.
   
   • Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
   
   • Experience with WCAG compliance and accessibility-first web design.
   
   • Familiarity with performance optimization tools (e.g., caching, CDNs).
2. Tools and Platforms
   
   • Experience with Gutenberg editor, ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), and WooCommerce.
   
   • Proficiency in using Git for version control.
   
   • Familiarity with design tools like Figma or Adobe XD for translating mockups to code.
3. Soft Skills
   
   • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
   
   • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
   
   • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a remote team.
4. Experience
   
   • Minimum 3+ years of experience in WordPress and PHP development.
   
   • Experience with React.js for front-end functionality is a strong advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability to develop dynamic, interactive websites.

• Knowledge of modern front-end tools and techniques using React.js.
