Job Summary

The University of Lahore's Innovation Hub (Ihub) is seeking a dynamic

and visionary Deputy Head to join its leadership team and play a key role

in driving strategy, managing high-impact programs, and advancing

Pakistan's entrepreneurial ecosystem by supporting startups from

inception to global scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute significantly to developing and delivering Ihub's

strategic plan. Translate vision into actionable programs and

measurable outcomes.

• Oversee and enhance Ihub's core incubation/acceleration

programs, providing senior-level guidance and mentorship

to startups navigating the critical journey from ideation to

• Build, nurture, and manage strategic relationships with key

stakeholders across industry, government, academia,

investors, and international partners. Represent Ihub

effectively at high levels.

• Manage day-to-day operations of key Ihub functions,

ensuring efficient resource allocation and program delivery

within the turn-key model.

• Lead, motivate, and develop the Ihub team (mentors,

program managers, support staff), fostering a

high-performance, collaborative culture.

• Contribute to budgeting, financial oversight, and securing

resources (grants, sponsorships, partnerships) to sustain

and grow Ihub's impact. Understand the financial

challenges and opportunities for startups.

• Champion Ihub's brand, contribute to marketing and

communication strategies, and actively participate in

building a vibrant, unifying national entrepreneurial

ecosystem.

• Navigate complex and challenging situations within the

startup environment and broader ecosystem with resilience,

diplomacy, and sound judgment.

• Establish and track KPIs for programs and overall Ihub

impact, reporting on progress and driving continuous

improvement.

• Demonstrable success in guiding startups/SMEs through

the entire lifecycle, particularly from ideation to early

growth and scaling (including globalization aspirations).

• Deep understanding of strategy formulation and, crucially,

a proven ability to execute and deliver results in complex

• Exceptional leadership skills with proven experience in

building, managing, and motivating high-performing

teams.

• Strong understanding of business finance, fundraising

(grants, equity, debt), P&L, budgeting, and commercial

strategy relevant to startups and incubator operations.

• Solid grasp of marketing principles, branding, sales

strategies, and market positioning necessary for startup

success and ecosystem promotion.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

Master's degree (preferably in Business Administration,

a related field). Bachelor's degree holders with exceptional

experience will be considered.

• Proven expertise in managing diverse, high-level

stakeholders (industry leaders, government officials,

with diplomacy and effectiveness.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes

• A deep commitment to entrepreneurship, innovation, and

Pakistan, aligned with Ihub's vision and mission.

Experience:

8-10 years of experience with minimum 5 years in a senior-level

managerial role within a startup incubator/accelerator, venture

capital/private equity firm focused on early-stage, corporate

innovation unit, or a senior role directly supporting SME

growth and scaling within Pakistan's ecosystem.
