Confiz is looking for a Java Engineer with at least 7-10 years of professional experience in delivering quality software. The candidate must have strong domain expertise and be capable of delivering according to the responsibilities outlined below.

Responsibilities
  • Design features; evaluate and provide feedback on designs.
  • Influence quality standards; understand, identify, and measure across the entire solution.
  • Identify performance issues and optimize solutions.
  • Combine engineering concepts and business understanding to design, document, and implement clean, robust solutions to complex problems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, stakeholders, program, and product managers to define and implement technical solutions.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements and explain technical details clearly.
  • Participate in defining, scoping, and estimating stories.
  • Work closely with peers to achieve team goals.
  • Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and automation, and seek continuous improvement.
  • Lead design and code reviews to ensure high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Promote a DevOps mindset, supporting cloud solutions, monitoring, alerting, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Over 7 years of experience in delivering quality software, preferably full-stack.
  • Excellent proficiency in an Object-Oriented language, such as Java.
  • Proficient with Java, Spring Boot, Containerization (K8s/Docker).
  • Experience with test automation at all levels.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure tools and pipelines like Gitlab CI/CD and Terraform.
  • Experience with RESTful architecture, microservices, system design, architecture, scaling, and performance testing.
  • Experience with AWS cloud technologies.
  • Experience with databases like Postgres.
  • Knowledge of cache-based low latency system design.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and testing tools.
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
  • Experience with logging and metrics tools like New Relic and Splunk.
  • Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or SQS.
