The Market Access and Public Affairs (MAPA) Department at Novo Nordisk Pakistan is dedicated to enhancing our company's reputation and influence in the region. The position
This position directly reports to Director Market Access & Public Affairs. As Public Affairs and Communications Manager, you are responsible for assisting the realization of the vision, strategy and execution of relevant public affairs strategy and/or project for Pakistan and proactively build and secure Novo Nordisk (NN) Pakistan's reputation by creating company and product preference and engaging employees to create and sustain a high-performance organization. Other role responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies to enhance the organisation's reputation. Communicate the value of our medicines and raise public awareness of diabetes, obesity, and other chronic conditions. Serve as the Communication expert on Product Brand Teams, leading brand-specific communication strategy and tactics, assist communication efforts for new product launches, and manage advertising, public relations agencies, and vendors of promotional and communication services.
- Build NN Pakistan's reputation as a leading company driving change to combat diabetes and other serious conditions. Leverage local NN Pakistan community relations, social responsibility, and diversity projects to reinforce the company's standing and implement global communications policies and projects locally, managing all digital assets, including novonordisk.pk and SharePoint, and ensuring alignment with Pakistan requirements.
- Assist in devising judicious Public Affairs plans for Novo Nordisk portfolio in Pakistan and implementing the PA strategy for the market access environment. Identify opportunities to partner with key stakeholders and local organizations, develop Public Affairs plans with common interests and targets, drive PA projects, ensure the success of global and IO driven projects, and facilitate with internal and external stakeholders on project execution.
- Assist the organization in promoting a communication climate based on openness, trust and participation. Create opportunities for employees to engage in corporate social responsibility activities, guide business partners to utilize available communications channels effectively, ensure alignment and synergies across the organization, and understand the drivers of employee attraction and engagement to build emotional commitment to NN Pakistan. Develop tools/materials for customer-facing employees to use with external audiences to communicate corporate and/or unbranded messaging.
- Ensure a high level of interaction with external and internal stakeholders to execute PA and communication projects, maintaining collaboration with key internal stakeholders to ensure that Affiliate Public Affairs support and initiatives match business needs and ensure good collaboration and ad-hoc input and/or participation in cross-functional processes or projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in management, social sciences, economics, journalism, or a related field; master's degree is an added advantage.
- 6+ years of experience in a relevant industry with an excellent track record in communication. Proficiency in English and Urdu is required.
- Excellent networking, presentation, and communication skills, with experience in analysing complex situations and presenting results.
- Solid project management and relationship-building skills.
