Corporate Social Responsibility Professional

This role is part of the Public Affairs Department and involves collaborating with various departments across the organization.

  • The incumbent will serve as an internal expert and external representative on CSR matters, conducting benchmarking exercises to identify industry best practices.
  • They will work closely with community groups and develop strategic partnerships.
  • Negotiation and management of sponsorship deals are also key responsibilities.
  • Regular communication with stakeholders, including media outlets and other interested parties, is essential for promoting CSR activities.
  • Evaluation of CSR campaign effectiveness, tracking metrics, and measuring outcomes are critical components of this position.
  • Ensuring that investments are socially responsible and ethically sound is a core function of this role.
  • Effective relationships with senior executives and cross-functional teams are vital for driving CSR initiatives forward.
  • Development and implementation of CSR plans, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, are key objectives.
  • Management of CSR reporting processes, working closely with other departments to collect social and environmental data.
  • Promoting CSR through membership organizations and attending conferences.
  • Working on special projects related to CSR, such as investment strategy, philanthropy, public policy advocacy, and wellness.
  • Identifying and implementing sponsorships with nonprofit organizations to demonstrate commitment externally.
  • Managing external consultants and interns as needed.
  • Making public presentations and representing the organization externally.
Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, the following skills and qualifications are required:

  • Experience in NGO sector or similar role is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of experience in project management and business analysis or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expertise in social responsibility, community involvement, and communications is essential.
  • Ability to influence senior management and peers, build business cases, and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical skills, and good communication abilities are necessary.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior executives and grassroots employees.
  • Creativity and resourcefulness in developing engagement plans, communications campaigns, and community events.
