Principal Engineer, Maintenance, RCP

LOCATION: Rakh Canal Plant, Faisalabad

REPORTS TO: Manager Maintenance, RCP

DIRECT REPORTS: 25

As Principal Engineer, Maintenance, you will be responsible for planning, monitoring and controlling the operation, maintenance, project functions, resources and staff with invaluable knowledge in an effective and efficient manner.

What will you do:

• Operation & Maintenance – Must possess comprehensive expertise in the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, and utility systems, including but not limited to compressors, cooling tower, pumps, gears, conveyors, sifters, dryers, elevators, mills, centrifuges, fans, motors, LT/HT switchgears, generators, 132 KV grid stations, basic knowledge of instrumentation & PLC/DCS systems. Well versed in maintenance methodologies such as Reliability Centered Maintenance, Condition Based Maintenance & Time Bound Maintenance.
• Project Management – Capable of designing of mechanical and electrical systems along with time-to-time modifications in the system to cater the process requirements. Must have project management knowledge to handle capex projects and capable to meet the project time lines through effective control of cash flows.
• Inventory Management – Must have strong knowledge of inventory management system and will be responsible to evaluate the critical store items to keep the machines in operation, evaluation QEMs for selection of material and follow up on deliveries through development of critical machine parts list and regular update the status.
• Contractor Management – Must be capable of dealing with contractors to execute project jobs, meeting timelines with allocated budget. Development of contracts for petty jobs, evaluation of contractor's bids, QEMs & their billings will be mandatory.
• People Management – Must have the capability to lead the team of mechanical, electrical, instrument, Utilities & Civil and develop close coordination among intra and inter departments. Providing the awareness to the staff regarding best working practices, guiding them in technical matters and building teams for effectiveness.
• Compliance of Company Policies – Will be responsible for the compliance of company policies.
• Continuous Improvement – Share continuous improvement projects to conserve energy through optimization of processes, preparation of their feasibility reports, BOQs, follow up for procurement of material and ensure safe execution of projects in stipulated time. Contract management will be mandatory.
• Stakeholder Management – Ensuring the compliance of TNA of employees to enhance the worker's capability through classroom and on filed trainings. Communicate and build relationships with stakeholders, through a team-based approach, to ensure business needs are met with high quality in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Ensuring the close coordination with procurement department for developing of low cast substitute of import items.

What will you bring:

• Degree B. Tech / B.Sc. / M.Sc. Engineering Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics
• Minimum 20 years' (B. Tech) / 10 years' (B.Sc. / M.Sc.) experience in O & M
• Prior work experience in Petro-chemical / Fertilizer/ Process / Food / Cement Industry
• In depth knowledge of O & M of Mechanical & Electrical System; and working knowledge of Maintenance methodologies, reliability management and people development
• Sound knowledge of ERP system including SAP, Lean Six Sigma, MS Office, ETAB, AutoCAD & Power BI to carry out Preventive & Corrective Maintenance.
• Good understanding international standards of EHS, IMS, GPM, ISO & Food Safety etc.
