Principal Engineer - AI/ML

This role is designed as an onsite position, with the expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office.

At HPE's Hybrid Cloud division, we lead innovation and manage the design, development, and product portfolio of our next-generation cloud platform, Green Lake. We work with customers to reimagine their IT needs, delivering simple, consumable solutions that drive business results. Join us to redefine what's next.

Job Family Definition:

The Cloud Developer builds end-to-end solutions for mission-critical applications, collaborating across teams to ensure effective delivery, deployment, and support of cloud engagements. They contribute to enriching HPE's Cloud Services portfolio with innovative offerings across various systems and platforms.

We are seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer - Tech Lead to design and develop AI tools and machine learning models that offer significant value and scalability at HPE. You will be responsible for building the next-generation Machine Learning Platform and models, working with large data sets, and leading innovative ML research and implementation efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied machine learning, production engineering, and experience working with data scientists and engineers. An advanced degree in a related field and a portfolio of ML projects are required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable ML models and pipelines.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement ML solutions.
  • Researching and testing new ML algorithms and tools.
  • Mentoring other ML engineers and guiding best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
  • 10-15 years of experience in relevant roles.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Golang, or JavaScript.
  • Deep expertise in software design, cloud security, and innovation with patents or deployed solutions.

Additional Skills:

Cloud architecture, cross-domain knowledge, DevOps, distributed computing, microservices, full-stack development, security, and UX.
