Role Overview

Global Rescue is seeking a versatile and driven AI/ML Developer to join as a Software Engineer – AI/ML Developer. This mid-level role focuses on building intelligent, production-ready solutions by integrating third-party LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Google Gemini) into enterprise systems.

You will develop AI-powered features such as chatbots, assistants, and search augmentation, and work on prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, and embedding-based customization. The role also involves developing capabilities in speech-to-text (STT), text-to-speech (TTS), audio classification, and sentiment/emotion analysis to power multimodal experiences. Strong Python skills, applied ML knowledge, and experience integrating AI into real-world applications are essential.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and customize LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) via APIs to develop intelligent product features such as chatbots, Q&A systems, and contextual search tools.
• Design and implement prompt engineering strategies and perform lightweight fine-tuning to adapt model outputs to business-specific needs.
• Develop AI components for speech processing such as speech-to-text (STT), text-to-speech (TTS), and audio classification using services like Whisper, Google Speech APIs, or Azure Speech.
• Implement sentiment analysis, intent recognition, and emotion detection using open-source libraries or third-party services.
• Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines integrating LLMs with vector stores (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone) for dynamic knowledge grounding.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI models into applications via REST APIs and microservices.
• Develop clean, efficient, and testable Python code, and participate in peer reviews, CI/CD workflows, and MLOps pipelines.
• Monitor AI model performance and latency in production, and apply best practices in scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Leverage GPU infrastructure, including cloud-based GPU instances (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) for model fine-tuning, inference, and performance optimization.
• Document workflows, model behavior, and integration patterns for cross-functional collaboration and long-term maintainability.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software development with Python, including at least 1–2 years of hands-on work in AI/ML applications.
• Practical experience integrating LLMs via APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, Claude), with working knowledge of prompt tuning and embedding-based customization.
• Familiarity with fine-tuning techniques using different industry standard tools.
• Strong understanding of NLP tasks (sentiment analysis, summarization, entity recognition) and audio-based applications (TTS, STT, emotion/sentiment detection).
• Knowledge of vector databases (FAISS, Weaviate, Pinecone) and RAG architectures.
• Experience with REST APIs, FastAPI/Flask, and microservice-based deployment.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools like Docker.
• Experience working with GPU-enabled environments and cloud-based GPU services for training, fine-tuning, and running AI models efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills, software design fundamentals, and a collaborative mindset.
