Canadian Bookkeeper

About the Job
We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the financial aspects of our Canadian clients' businesses. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with tax preparation.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Track fixed assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Maintain and balance financial records using various bookkeeping systems.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare tax returns and detailed financial reports.
- Monitor cash flow and bank account activities.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist with payroll processing.
- Support audits and provide documentation.
- Develop efficient bookkeeping procedures.
- Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend solutions.
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- ACCA or CA part Qualified or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred) or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Prior experience working with Canadian Accounting Consultants/Accounting firms.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Windows).
- Hands-on experience with accounting softwares such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, FreshBooks, or Wave.
