Job Title: Oracle ERP and CC&B Database Administrator

At least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or IT with at least 10 years of experience in Oracle ERP and CC&B Database Administration.

The ideal candidate must have at least 4 years of relevant experience as a Functional/Team Lead for ERP and CC&B Database Administration.

Relevant certification is preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the organization's entire database infrastructure, including Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Enterprise Database for Customer Care and Billing, and other systems.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the organization's database infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimal performance.
  • Build high-availability and high-quality database systems considering end-user requirements.
  • Set clear goals and objectives aligned with the overall IT and organizational strategy.
  • Define users and enable data distribution to the right user in an appropriate format and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the architecture team to align database designs with overall IT architecture standards.
  • Implement strategies for performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization of database systems.
  • Provide visionary leadership to the Database Administration team and maintain a high-performing team through personal development and continual training.
  • Plan for the scalability of database resources to meet growing organizational needs.
  • Establish and enforce security protocols for databases, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with the security team to implement and enhance database security measures.
  • Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans for database systems.
  • Manage relationships with database technology vendors, staying informed about the latest advancements and ensuring the organization's technology stack remains current.
  • Manage the budget for the Database Administration department, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Plan and manage Data Recovery Drills (DR-Drills) and ensure data synchronization at SSGC DR sites.
  • Motivate teams to upgrade personal and technical skills to cater to the dynamic technological environment.
  • Propose and plan training requirements for the team to cope with evolving technological needs.
  • Plan change activities and ensure change management according to approved IT policies.
  • Prepare technical tender documents and assist the departmental head in finalizing tendering documents.
  • Assist in technical evaluation of bids.
  • Coordinate with internal/external/Govt. auditors and take appropriate measures based on recommendations.
  • Manage and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and license compliance for existing business-critical systems and new projects.
  • Ensure compliance to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and Business Principles and Ethics Policy/Code of Conduct while performing job responsibilities in accordance with assigned roles.
  • Undertake any other tasks/assignments as instructed by the immediate supervisor.
