Job Title: Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team.

  • The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of public procurement rules and regulations, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with tender evaluation processes and ability to identify potential risks and opportunities is also essential.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with public procurement rules and regulations, reviewing tender documents and contracts, and providing recommendations to senior management.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
  1. Review tender documents and contracts to ensure compliance with public procurement rules and regulations.
  2. Identify potential risks and opportunities in tender evaluation reports.
  3. Provide recommendations to senior management on tender evaluation and contract administration.
  4. Ensure accurate and timely verification of invoices pertaining to services.
  5. Highlight relevant observations to user departments to rectify non-compliances.
  6. Conduct evaluation of reports and terms of reference of project agreements/contracts.
  7. Follow established systems and procedures to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and laws.
  8. Assist in providing feedback regarding analysis of cost and price calculations.
  9. Ensure adherence to the Business Principles and Ethics Policy / Code of Conduct.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of public procurement rules and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with tender evaluation processes.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
