This Academic Professional position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality education in Optometry/Orthoptics. As a key member of the teaching faculty, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging curricula, assessing student learning, and promoting academic excellence.
Main Duties:- Design and deliver lectures, workshops, and tutorials that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and other forms of evaluation, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Develop and maintain course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessment tools.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate teaching and learning across the curriculum.
- Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance teaching expertise and stay current with best practices in education.
- Engage with students, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Contribute to departmental and institutional initiatives, such as curriculum review, program accreditation, and quality assurance.
- Participate in peer observation and coaching to promote continuous improvement in teaching practice.
- Take responsibility for maintaining accurate records of student academic performance and participation.
- Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements, ensuring students gain valuable practical experience.
- Support the development of online learning resources and platforms to enhance student engagement and accessibility.
