We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching assigned courses, developing innovative teaching strategies, and facilitating experiential learning.
Key Responsibilities:- Meet annual targets assigned by the HOD to ensure a high-quality teaching environment.
- Develop and implement teaching programs that meet faculty workload policy requirements.
- Employ effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote critical discourse.
- Assess student performance, provide feedback, and maintain academic records.
- Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in departmental and university committees to contribute to planning and decision-making.
- PhD or equivalent in Optometry/Orthoptics or related field.
- Proven teaching experience in higher education with a strong track record of student engagement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students.
- Ability to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies, including experiential learning and technology integration.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
