Senior Software Engineer for Java

A highly skilled Senior Software Engineer is required to develop server applications of various software platforms, including writing Restful APIs for client applications. The senior engineer ensures that the application's functionality, security, and performance meet design requirements and are bug-free.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business requirements to identify project goals and objectives.
  • Estimate assigned tasks to determine resource allocation and timelines.
  • Write high-quality code and unit tests to ensure reliability and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
  • Optimize code for enhanced security and performance by implementing best practices and coding standards.
  • Maintain systems by resolving existing issues and performing regular maintenance tasks.
  • Update issue tracking software to reflect project progress and status.
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, including clients and management.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Manage version control by using tools like Git and Maven.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and research emerging trends in the industry.
  • Lead a team of software engineers and mentor junior team members through training and guidance.
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions and participate in the hiring process.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in the professional industry, with expertise in Spring Boot, Hibernate, and MicroServices.
  • Strong knowledge of MicroServices architecture and experience working with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with tools like Git, Maven, JFrog, UDeploy, and PostgreSQL as DB Engine.
  • Expertise in developing enterprise-level web applications and strong design and programming skills.
  • Strong background in Linux/UNIX environments and shell scripting.
  • Must have experience with PostgreSQL and Terraforms.
  • Passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and an attitude to discuss and implement new ideas.
  • Strong agile/scrum development experience and collaboration skills within distributed project teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
