Senior Web Engineering Manager Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Web Engineering Manager to lead the development of our web applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web technologies, team leadership, and project delivery.

This role requires hands-on expertise with modern web technologies, as well as a proven ability to design, architect, and implement scalable solutions.

The successful candidate will not only lead by example in technical excellence but will also take on broader responsibilities to mentor the team, establish processes, and contribute to organizational growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the end-to-end development of high-quality web applications, focusing on scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Architect and build cloud-native solutions using AWS services like Lambda, DynamoDB, and ECS.
  • Define, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs and web architectures.
  • Ensure code quality and conduct peer reviews to guarantee adherence to best practices and standards.
  • Mentor team members, conduct performance reviews, and set growth objectives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Establish efficient development processes, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and source code management.
  • Drive Agile adoption across the team and refine workflows for better efficiency.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to align technical decisions with business objectives.
  • Contribute to long-term planning by identifying technical risks and opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular.
  • Experience in MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS (e.g., Lambda, APIGateway, S3, CloudFormation).
  • Proven track record of leading development teams and delivering projects on time.
  • Strong grasp of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with real-time web technologies (WebSockets, Server-Sent Events).
  • Exposure to OWASP security principles.
  • Understanding of UX and design principles.
  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Scrum Master or Agile certification.
