Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and security of the database system.

Skill Sets Required:
  • Hands-on experience with 12c, 19c, and above versions of Oracle.
  • Cross-platform upgrade experience on Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems.
  • Manage Real Application Clusters (RAC) DBs, including installation, support, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage disaster recovery (DR) and Active DataGuard replication, including installation, support, and troubleshooting.
  • Create new shell scripts and update existing ones efficiently.
  • Highly skilled in troubleshooting techniques, especially performance-related issues. Ability to analyze explain plans, Automatic Workload Repository (AWR), and use SQL Plan Baselines.
  • Refresh non-production environments using Recovery Manager (RMAN) and data pump tools.
  • Review daily database health check reports, alerts, audit breaches, and proactively identify, highlight, and fix defects before they impact the system.
  • Work on incidents and reported problems from IT departments.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) configuration across multiple databases.
  • Expertise in performance tuning.
  • Migrate data between EC2 and RDS AWS instances.

Skill Sets Preferred:
  • Manage all aspects of GoldenGate replication, including installation, support, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to reproduce production issues related to performance, RAC, and GoldenGate on non-production environments and test solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, beneficial for handling daily SQL Server tasks.

Other Responsibilities:
  • Write detailed, easy-to-follow technical documents.
  • Share knowledge effectively and convey technical details during discussions.
  • Provide on-call support and be available for early morning application deployments.
  • Manage Oracle databases on Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS).
  • Understand PL/SQL codes.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Master's in Computer Applications preferred.
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification preferred.
