Job Title: Senior Finance and Accounts Professional

This is a senior-level position within the finance department that requires an experienced professional with a strong background in financial management, accounting, and analysis.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in managing financial accounts, preparing annual accounts, and possessing strong analytical skills. They will be responsible for maintaining fixed assets depreciation schedules, preparing bank reconciliation statements, and conducting debtor/creditor reconciliation analysis.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Prepare financial statements for audit purposes, demonstrating expertise and attention to detail.
  • Develop and manage cash flow forecasts, planning, and budgeting to inform business decisions.
Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the preparation and finalization of annual accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
  2. Maintain a fixed assets depreciation schedule as per capitalization policies, monitoring asset values and updating records accordingly.
  3. Prepare bank reconciliation statements to ensure accurate financial reporting and minimize discrepancies.
  4. Conduct debtor/creditor reconciliation analysis to identify trends and optimize cash flow management.
  5. Prepare financial statements for audit purposes, demonstrating expertise and attention to detail.
  6. Collaborate with the audit manager to develop and finalize audit plans, ensuring thoroughness and timeliness.
  7. Verify and supervise the physical presence of stocks at year-end, ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping.
  8. Develop and manage cash flow forecasts, planning, and budgeting to inform business decisions.
