The Role

We seek a skilled Indirect Tax professional to join our team and provide tailored advice to clients, identifying risk areas and sustainable planning opportunities for indirect taxes throughout the tax life cycle.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Work as a member of a worldwide network of professional advisors, sharing responsibility and providing support.
  • Collaborate with VAT professionals to combine diverse cross-border transaction experience with local tax knowledge across various industries.
  • Prepare reports and schedules delivered to clients and other parties.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and internal teams.
Technical Expertise

You must build a deep understanding of Customs Law and its practical application across countries. You're expected to understand and apply regional Free Trade Agreements and key customs concepts such as valuation, classification, and origin.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

You must be able to:

  • Build strong client relationships and communicate effectively in written and oral English.
  • Identify areas of risk, carry out effective reviews, and know when to refer upwards.
  • Be commercially aware, a team player with effective relationship-building skills at all levels.
  • Possess project management skills, plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines, monitor your budget, and solve problems creatively and pragmatically.
To Succeed in This Role
  • A degree in economics, finance, tax, or accounting is required.
  • At least two years of relevant experience as an Indirect Tax professional are necessary.
  • Experience working for a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred, but we will consider candidates from law firms or with relevant industry experience.
  • Customs duty advisory experience is preferable, but we will also consider candidates with VAT/GST advisory experience.
