Accounting Role

Comsats is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accounting Officer to join our team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management and accounting principles.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and be able to lead the Accounts department with expertise and vision.

  1. Responsibilities:
  2. Develop and implement effective accounting policies and procedures to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  3. Compile and analyze account information to prepare accurate and timely asset, liability, and capital account entries.
  4. Document financial transactions by accurately entering account information into the system.
  5. Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements, to ensure transparency and compliance.
  6. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account data to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  7. Ensure the security of financial information through regular database backups and adherence to industry standards.
  8. Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions in a timely manner to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.
  9. Provide technical support and guidance on financial matters to colleagues and staff members.
  10. Contribute to the department's goal-setting process by offering valuable insights and recommendations.
  11. Supervise staff in the Accounts department, delegating tasks and reviewing work performance to ensure quality and productivity.
  12. Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
  13. Communicate regularly with the Deputy General Manager on work status and progress to ensure seamless collaboration.
  14. Establish and maintain proper accounting methods, policies, and principles to ensure compliance and best practices.
  15. Coordinate annual audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  16. Maintain accurate fiscal files and records, documenting all financial transactions to facilitate easy reference and analysis.
