Job Title: Process Enhancement Specialist

Job Description:

This role focuses on overseeing and improving financial controls across multiple departments, ensuring efficiency and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

  • Develop and uphold a robust internal control framework tailored for the utilities sector.
  • Conduct detailed analysis to assess risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, considering operational, compliance, and financial implications.
  • Identify and analyze financial, operational, strategic, and compliance risks, maintaining a comprehensive risk-control register.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate financial risk assessments and control recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders, promoting transparency and proactive risk management.
  • Ensure the organization remains compliant with evolving regulations and industry standards, implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate current internal control systems, recommend improvements, and oversee implementation, focusing on utilities-related projects.

Qualifications:

  • Background: 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in auditing, with a strong background in internal controls.
  • Technical Skills: Deep expertise in financial management, risk analysis, and internal control frameworks, with cross-functional financial risk management ability.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Strong influencing and communication skills, managing stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Sector Experience: Relevant experience in the utilities sector is advantageous, particularly with a legal or finance background combined with internal audits and controls experience.
