E-Commerce Specialist Job DescriptionJob Overview

We're seeking an exceptional E-commerce Specialist to join our ranks. Your mission will be to craft seamless online experiences that captivate and convert.

You'll work closely with designers, project managers, and clients to translate their vision into reality. Your technical expertise will drive the development, customization, and optimization of e-commerce websites on the Shopify platform.

As an expert in Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other Shopify Tech Stack tools, you'll lead the way in designing, developing, and maintaining custom themes and applications from concept to launch.

Your front-end and back-end skills will shine as you integrate third-party APIs, apps, and services to deliver seamless functionality. You'll also optimize website speed, responsiveness, and performance to improve user experience and conversion rates.

Audits and troubleshooting are just another day at the office for you, as you conduct regular checks to identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions.

With your e-commerce expertise and problem-solving skills, you'll provide technical guidance on e-commerce development, architecture, and process improvements.

This is a hands-on role, requiring strong portfolio showcasing successful Shopify projects and a proven track record of custom theme and/or app development.

To succeed in this position, you'll need 5+ years of full stack development experience, with at least 2+ years focused on Shopify. Strong knowledge of Shopify's platform, including APIs (REST & GraphQL) and the Shopify App Store, is essential.

Familiarity with Node.js or Ruby on Rails for custom apps and proficiency in Git/GitHub workflows are must-haves.

Additional requirements include:

  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with both technical and non-technical teams.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) will round out your qualifications.
