Senior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, prepare financial reports, and maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • General Ledger Management: Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers.
  • Closing Processes: Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing historical and trend analysis.
  • Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors during audits and assist with audit preparation.
  • Fixed Asset Maintenance: Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial issues and ensure data integrity.
  • Process Improvement: Review and improve accounting procedures and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Junior Staff Guidance: Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Intuit Enterprise accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
