Accounts and Financial Services Professional

Our organization is seeking an experienced accounts professional to join our team as an Accounts Associate/Senior Accounts Associate. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements in compliance with UK accounting standards (FRS 102 & FRS 105) and providing high-quality accounting services to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare year-end accounts for UK clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Review bookkeeping records, make necessary adjustments, and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Prepare working papers, lead schedules, and reconciliations to support financial reporting and decision-making.
  • Assist with corporation tax computations and VAT return reviews to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Liaise with clients to gather financial information, resolve queries, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Utilize cloud-based software (Xero, QuickBooks Online) and supporting apps to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain the highest level of accuracy in financial reporting.
Requirements:
  • ACCA finalist or ACCA affiliate status.
  • Strong understanding of UK accounting standards (FRS 102 & FRS 105) and ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
  • Good knowledge of bookkeeping and accounts preparation, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare accurate reports.
  • Experience with Xero and QuickBooks Online is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
