Network Operation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Operation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure.

  1. Design and Implementation: Design and implement network solutions using Cisco equipment and VSAT technologies to meet business requirements.
  2. Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  3. Collaboration and Assessment: Collaborate with internal teams to assess network requirements and provide recommendations for network improvements or upgrades.
  4. Performance and Security Monitoring: Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
  5. Security Measures: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, creation of VLANs, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  6. Satellite Communication: Configure and manage Yahsat VSAT, iDirect, Comtech terminals and satellite communication systems to ensure reliable connectivity.
  7. Documentation: Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
  8. Emerging Technologies: Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to networking and satellite communications.
  9. Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing Cisco-based network infrastructures.
  • Strong understanding of routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) and switching technologies.
  • Experience with VSAT systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of Linux OS and best practices.
  • English speaking and writing, IELTS would be preferable, with a minimum score of 5.5.
