SQL Database Specialist Job

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a skilled SQL Database Specialist with Oracle PL/SQL expertise.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement complex SQL and Oracle PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions to meet business needs.
  • Analyze database performance and optimize it through indexing, query optimization, and schema refinement to improve system efficiency.
  • Create new database jobs for different purposes such as sending notifications when processes fail.
  • Utilize hands-on knowledge of .NET Framework and C# to develop robust database solutions.
  • Maintain database health, performance, and security by monitoring and troubleshooting issues.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to import and export data between systems ensuring data integrity and consistency across multiple databases.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for database development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) like SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Good understanding of database design, normalization, and performance tuning principles.
  • Expertise in writing optimized T-SQL and PL/SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, or SQL Server on Azure VMs and Azure Oracle Linux VMs.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
