Quality Control Manager Position

The organization is seeking a Quality Control Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of analytical quality systems, processes, and records.

This role will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations by working closely with site management to maintain consistent, practical, and cost-effective systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the quality control team in producing precise, accurate, and timely test and calibration data, as well as act as the technical expert to maintain accurate and functional quality records on QC expectations for plant personnel.
  • Monitor and maintain the Corn Refiner Association program check sample program for the facility. Ensure that non-routine testing is performed in a timely manner, including any testing done by an outside lab and maintaining reports.
  • Conduct out-of-specification investigations, maintain records, and monitor OOS trends. Drive continuous improvements by applying scientific methodology, root cause analysis, and statistical tools to support recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Develop and implement new QC procedures as needed and review, revise, and improve existing systems on a periodic basis.

Requirements:

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or Food Technology and 8 years of experience in the food or pharma industry with experience within a chemical laboratory.

They should have exceptional communication skills, be well-organized, detail-oriented, and have strong leadership abilities to lead others in a challenging dynamic environment.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, build consensus, and foster relationships at multiple organizational levels and across functions.

Excellent leadership abilities to build and develop the quality control team through the implementation of Measurement Systems Analysis and Statistical Process Control to meet the needs of both internal and external customers.
