We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Specialist to join our team at NATIONAL TELEPHONE CO-OP ASSN. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing various financial statements and reports, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities- Maintaining Financial Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers and financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable records, and cash disbursements.
- Preparing Financial Statements: Prepare various financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for use by management in assessing the financial position of the organization.
- Compliance with Accounting Principles: Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and Part 32 requirements.
- Payroll Processing: Assist with payroll processing, including setting up new employees in the payroll system, providing access to accounts applicable to their job responsibilities, and working with HR Department and providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll and benefits reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software and technology.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- Certified Public Accountant license.
