Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement efficient VoIP systems, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of VoIP protocols, including SIP, RTP, and TCP/IP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate VoIP systems with existing infrastructure and applications.
  • Provide expert technical support and guidance to internal teams and clients, assisting with inquiries, problem resolution, and system enhancements.
  • Conduct regular system audits and apply necessary updates, patches, and security measures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in VoIP technology and recommend improvements or optimizations to enhance system performance and reliability.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing VoIP systems, with a strong focus on Asterisk, Free PBX, and Vicidial.
  • Extensive knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, TCP/IP) and experience with codec selection and transcoding.
  • Proficiency in Linux operating systems, including system administration and command-line interface.
  • Familiarity with telephony concepts, call routing, IVR systems, and call center technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
  • Experience in network configuration, routing, and firewall rules pertaining to VoIP systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Asterisk Certified Professional, FreePBX Certified, VICIdial Certified) are an asset.
