Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team for the night shift. This office-based role involves coordinating logistics by communicating with truck drivers and brokers through calls.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Rate Negotiation: Contact truck drivers to determine their rates per mile and negotiate terms that benefit both parties.
  2. Load Management: Use a CRM system to find and assign loads to truck drivers, ensuring efficient scheduling during the night shift.
  3. Bargaining: Negotiate with brokers and truck drivers to secure the best possible deals and conditions.
  4. Communication: Act as the primary contact between truck drivers and brokers during the night, managing all communications over the phone.
  5. Documentation: Accurately record all communications, rate agreements, and load assignments within the CRM and tracking systems.
  6. Problem-Solving: Handle any logistical challenges that arise during the night shift, ensuring that deliveries stay on schedule.
Qualifications:
  1. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills are required.
  2. Candidate Requirements: Experience with CRM systems and logistics management is essential.
  3. Multitasking and Prioritization: Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced office environment.
  4. Previous Experience: Previous experience in transportation, logistics, or similar roles is highly valued.
  5. Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office software.
Working Conditions:
  1. Night Shift Only: This role requires working exclusively during the night shift.
  2. Office-Based Position: Work in an office environment with regular communication over the phone.
  3. High-Pressure Situations: Ability to manage high-pressure situations with professionalism and calmness during nighttime hours.
