Principal Electrical Equipment Specialist

This role involves overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial and commercial generators, electrical panels, and other electrical equipment. Leading a team of technicians, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining high operational efficiency to support data center infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of generators and electrical panels.
- Oversee inspection and testing of electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance.
- Lead and support a team of technicians, providing training and guidance.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and ensure reliability.
- Coordinate with clients to understand needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Ensure all work adheres to industry standards and best practices.
- Monitor inventory of parts and supplies.
- Collaborate with procurement for sourcing quality components.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Stay updated on technological advancements in generator and electrical systems.
- Build relationships with stakeholders, including clients and suppliers.
Fill timesheets, provide daily activity summaries to the Operations Manager, submit team performance and equipment status reports to the Line Manager, and prepare comprehensive reports on maintenance activities, budget, and safety compliance for senior management.
