**Data Engineering Role Overview**

  • This position is ideal for an experienced Data Engineer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, building and managing large-scale data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement ETL pipelines using Airflow to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse on Snowflake.
  • Optimize data warehousing performance by monitoring query performance, indexing tables, and implementing efficient data partitioning strategies.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring of data engineering workflows.
  • Clean, validate, and prepare data using Python, ensuring high-quality data for downstream analytics and machine learning applications.
  • Perform data transformation using dbt to standardize data formats, improve data consistency, and enable business intelligence reporting.
  • Leverage AWS services including S3, EC2, and Glue to build scalable data processing architectures and integrate with other cloud-based services.
  • Migrate and optimize data services from AWS to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to take advantage of cost savings, improved performance, and enhanced security features.
  • Containerize and manage workflows with Docker to ensure consistent deployment, scaling, and monitoring across multiple environments.
