Scrum Master Job Description

This role is responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing delivery obstacles, and ensuring timely and high-quality product releases within a regulated FinTech environment.

  • Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives to ensure smooth sprint execution.
  • Coach development teams on Agile practices and collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize and manage backlogs.
  • Identify blockers and remove them to ensure timely delivery.
  • Track metrics like sprint velocity and cycle time to measure team performance.
  • Ensure compliance and quality in every sprint delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Agile Facilitation: Lead Agile ceremonies to ensure effective collaboration and communication among team members.
  • Team Coaching: Guide and coach development teams on Agile practices to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Backlog Management: Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize and manage backlogs, ensuring that the most important features are delivered first.
  • Blocker Removal: Identify and remove blockers to ensure smooth sprint execution and timely delivery.
  • Metrics Tracking: Track metrics like sprint velocity and cycle time to measure team performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in tech or FinTech environments.
  • Tools: Proficiency in Jira and Agile delivery tools.
  • Skills: Strong communication and facilitation skills, Agile certification (CSM, PSM) preferred.
  • FinTech Experience: FinTech or regulatory experience is a plus.
