Job Description

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager who plays a crucial role in ensuring that software releases are executed efficiently, securely, and in compliance with regulations for our client's team. The role facilitates communication and collaboration among various teams within the organization to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Release Management: Plan, manage, and coordinate deployment activities for products across UAT, PREPROD, and PROD environments and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards for all releases.
  • Infrastructure Planning: Plan and request infrastructure resources from clients/infra providers based on application requirements and ensure performance, scalability, reliability, and compliance across all environments.
  • Disaster Recovery and Environment Readiness: Plan and execute disaster recovery rehearsals in collaboration with client teams and ensure readiness of UAT, PREPROD, and PROD environments for planned activities.
  • Platform Management: Collaborate with infra partners/clients and advise on platform infrastructure best practices and maintain high availability and operational excellence while upholding performance and security standards.
  • DevOps Resource Coordination: Oversee DevOps resource allocation to optimize time management for CI/CD pipeline deployment and environment management.
  • Runbook Development: Manage the creation and maintenance of deployment runbooks in collaboration with development and project teams and facilitate smooth and predictable production releases.
  • Platform Monitoring: Implement platform monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) for real-time insights into performance, availability, and system health and address incidents proactively to ensure system reliability.
  • Security Reviews: Coordinate feedback from internal and external security reviews and work with relevant teams to implement countermeasures and ensure compliance with security best practices.
  • Documentation Management: Oversee the creation and maintenance of System Architecture, Infrastructure, Services, Touchpoint Communication, and Deployment documentation.
  • Process Definition and Improvement: Implement and optimize processes to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and delivery across teams.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing non-functional delivery requirements, including disaster recovery, performance testing, security reviews, and infrastructure management.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and environment management.
  • Demonstrated success in coordinating complex deployments across multiple environments.
  • Experience in platform monitoring, ensuring system reliability and availability.
  • Extensive techno-functional experience with the ability to bridge technical expertise and functional knowledge for successful delivery.
  • Industry Experience: Fintech and banking industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, development, infrastructure, and project teams.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) and understanding of queueing concepts (e.g., publish/subscribe, point-to-point).
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Contributions to open-source projects.
