**Job Opportunity:** Deputy Lead Manager

The Deputy Lead Manager will oversee the gas-purchasing process, ensuring timely processing of monthly gas payments and reviewing payment vouchers. This role involves reviewing compliance with tax laws related to gas purchase matters and liaising with relevant government departments.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and ensure smooth processing of monthly gas purchase invoices from gas fields, recording purchases in the books of accounts after verification by operations.
  • Supervise compilation of gas purchase invoice data, cross-verify working schedules for financial accuracy, and ensure invoice compliance with GSA, OGRA price notifications, and tax laws.
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve invoice issues with suppliers and ensure timely entry of payments into Oracle Financials.
  • Support senior management in negotiating Gas Sales Purchase Agreements (GSPA) and providing financial feedback.
  • Review notes and memos for payment releases related to new fields and initiate internal approval processes.
  • Liaise with Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd to determine the Weighted Average Cost of Gas (WACOG) for uniform gas rates.
  • Supervise preparation of Late Payment Surcharge (LPS) Schedule, including calculation clauses, surcharge rates, and overdue invoices.
  • Conduct financial risk assessments by monitoring invoice due dates and preparing risk registers.
