IT Manager Job Overview

As an IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of all IT-related fields. This role requires exceptional leadership and technical skills to drive success.

">Key Responsibilities:
  1. Network Management:
  • Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all IT-related fields.
  • Assists in the planning and implementation of network infrastructure upgrades and modifications.
  • Implements network security measures at the highest level.
  • Oversees the administration and maintenance of Network systems and directs changes when necessary.
  • Manages LAN/WAN administration.
Training & Lab Maintenance:
  • Oversees the administration and maintenance of computer stations and software, providing additional support when necessary.
Internal Systems:
  • Oversees troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery, providing expert support when necessary.
  • Collaborates with team members to implement robust Internal Systems.
Help Desk Administration:
  • Manages all help desk activities and responds to issues promptly.
  • Interacts with staff members on all levels to resolve IT-related issues and provides timely responses.
Asset Management:
  • Builds and maintains vendor relationships, managing hardware and software purchases.
  • Ensures company assets are properly maintained.
  • Ensures networking cables are installed correctly with systematic routing/mapping.
  • Ensures electric safety protocols are in place to prevent disasters.
Communication:
  • Facilitates effective team meetings.
  • Conducts regular status updates with all team members on a weekly basis.
  • Keeps staff informed of organizational changes.
  • Communicates IT-related information effectively to superiors.
  • Delivers engaging, informative presentations.
  • Resolves or escalates issues promptly.
  • Communicates sensitive information tactfully.
  • Provides relevant IT-related information to the organization in a timely manner.
Management:
  • Initiates and implements improvements in IT responsibilities.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for all IT-related matters.
  • Responds to upper-management direction.
  • Identifies staff-related problems and discusses them with Management for approval or rejection.
  • Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes and proposes solutions.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining the company website and takes necessary steps.
  • Liaises with vendors to ensure smooth web hosting and domain name operations.
WEB DEV:
  • Capable of designing, creating, and uploading company websites.
Audit:
  • Ensures sufficient server space is always available.
  • Conducts monthly audits and deletes unnecessary items/files from the computer system.
PROGRAMMER:
  • Skilled in developing programs using Access and other tools like VB, SQL, etc.
Job Requirements:
  • Handles inter-departmental complaints and IT administrative tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Flexible work hours.
  • Manages remote network connections.
  • Installs and configures Windows software and hardware.
  • Creates Domain-Based Environments.
  • Familiarity with Reuters, Servers, and related instruments.
