We are seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to join our dynamic team.

You will be part of a forward-thinking group that drives quality and excellence in all aspects of production.

  • This role involves leading the team to apply their maximum potential for support to the production floor. You will address any development and training needs for individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and encourage the team to achieve high standards of work quality, responsiveness, and H&S standards.
  • Develop onsite Shop Floor Employees through active engagement, training, evaluation, and feedback.
  • Participate in H&S and job-specific trainings to improve standards of work quality and H&S.
  • Manage the application of quality Improvement programs driven by Quality Compliance & Performance Manager.
  • Support the drive for execution of EHS protocols and contribute positively towards developing a safety-conscious culture on site.
  • Work with shift management to ensure the execution of QA Protocols on the Production floor.
  • Communicate machine-related faults to the maintenance team to drive continuous improvement in machine performance.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for improvement in product quality.
Requirements:

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree and proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Prior experience in a similar role within the tobacco or FMCG industry is required.

  • You must understand cigarette manufacturing processes.
  • Proven ability to influence team members positively to drive improvement.
  • Proficient in using basic statistical tools for analysis and data handling to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Capable of handling quality testing equipment installed on the production floor.
  • Experience with IWS – Q – pillar Activities.
  • Familiarity with EHS protocols and encouraging a safety-conscious culture.
