Senior Wildlife Conservation Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Wildlife Conservation Officer to join our team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of wildlife conservation projects, conducting surveys and assessments, and developing strategies to protect and preserve wildlife habitats. They will work closely with government agencies, research institutions, and conservation organizations to ensure the effective implementation of project activities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project plans to achieve conservation objectives.
  • Conduct surveys and assessments to identify key wildlife species and habitats.
  • Collaborate with government agencies and stakeholders to develop and implement conservation strategies.
  • Provide technical support to project staff on surveys, assessments, and conservation planning.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders to enhance data collection and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to wildlife conservation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Zoology or Forestry, with at least 5-6 years of post-study experience in wildlife surveys and conservation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with government agencies, research institutions, and conservation organizations.
