Job Title: Assistant Maize Purchase Officer

The role of the Assistant Maize Purchase Officer plays a significant part in sourcing top-quality raw materials for procurement at competitive prices.

This position entails supervising the purchase activities of maize buying agents within and outside market premises.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring competitors' activities in grain markets and reporting to the Head of Department.
  • Verifying daily maize purchase prices used by commission agents are within authorized company limits.
  • Supervising the filling, sewing, and weight of purchased maize by commission agents.
  • Maintaining communication with the HOD on market dynamics, logistics situations, and other relevant market news impacting corn costs.
  • Facilitating smooth dispatch of maize purchased by agents on approved freight rates.
  • Supervising timely disbursement of payments sent to vendors/partners from whom maize is purchased.
  • Conducting crop surveys for strategic buying planning during spring and autumn seasons.
  • Sharing market intelligence with the HOD on a regular basis.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a relevant field, a graduation degree, and possess thorough knowledge of grain markets in maize-producing areas. They should be honest, negotiators, computer-literate, and proficient in Urdu and English languages.
