As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for driving manufacturing operations to achieve agreed targets in volume, cost, safety, quality and other key performance indicators.

To succeed in this role, you must have strong leadership skills and the ability to develop internal and external networks.

You will be required to plan making and packing operations on the floor to meet agreed shift targets. This includes receiving chemical and packaging materials, organizing labor for operations, and monitoring material consumption and yield.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience on a production floor, preferably in an FMCG environment. They should also be familiar with supply chain operations, especially in planning and SAP.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Shift Manager and take on a leadership role in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage making and packing operations on the floor to meet agreed shift targets

  • Receive and organize chemical and packaging materials

  • Organize labor for operations, including operators, technicians, and contract staff

  • Monitor material consumption and yield, and reduce waste level

  • Reduce material variance by ensuring optimal usage of chemicals and packaging, and accurate record keeping

  • Supervise weekly and monthly stock count and general Fourth Shift transactions

  • E nsure that workers wear appropriate personal protective clothing and comply with safety, health and environmental rules

  • Drive autonomous maintenance activities on the shop floor

  • Support the implementation of best practices such as TPM, HACCP, and all audit recommendations

  • Identify skill gaps and organize training for workers

  • Continuously improve operations by identifying areas for process development

Requirements:

  • A minimum of bachelor's degree in BSc. Engineering or Sciences

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience on production floor, preferably in an FMCG

  • Familiarity with supply chain operations, especially in planning and SAP

  • Experience in managing shop floor safety, health & environment

Critical Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to develop internal and external networks

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
