As a Telecom Engineer, you will play a crucial role in planning, designing and commissioning complex telecommunication equipment and facilities. Your expertise in electronics and telecommunications will ensure seamless operations, adhering to established standards and protocols.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Telecom Engineer. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive plans for complex telecommunication equipment and facilities, including electronic switching systems, copper telephone facilities, video conferencing links and fiber optics.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Planning and Design: Develop detailed plans for the installation and maintenance of telecommunication systems, including electronic switching systems, copper telephone facilities and fiber optics.
  2. Day-to-Day Operations: Ensure the smooth operation of telecommunication systems, maintaining adherence to set standards and protocols.
  3. Maintenance and Fault Resolution: Coordinate routine maintenance activities, ensuring timely fault resolution and upgrades in collaboration with the team.
  4. Scope and Specifications: Provide detailed telecommunications scope, estimates and specifications for senior management as required.
  5. Tender Assessment: Evaluate the telecommunications aspects of tenders against prescribed standards as required in support of management.
  6. Technical Investigations: Conduct preliminary technical investigations for telecommunications network commissioning issues as required.
  7. Network Records: Ensure that telecommunications network records are updated following completion of a project.
  8. Equipment Handover: Facilitate formal handover procedure for telecommunications equipment in conjunction with the Assets and Operations.
  9. Risk Management: Comply with the risk management framework, actively participating in risk management activities across the organization.
