Business Development Executive Job

The role of a Business Development Executive is to drive business growth by identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities. This involves developing relationships with existing and prospective clients, improving customer experience, and ultimately finding new business avenues. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and managing a wide range of activities including sales, business development, stock & inventory management.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality products.
  • Tour the sales floor regularly, interacting with colleagues and customers, and addressing any urgent issues.
  • Responsible for maximizing profitability and meeting sales targets.
  • Create promotional materials and displays.
  • Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales, interpreting trends to facilitate planning.
  • Maintain existing customer relationships and develop a new customer base.
  • Initiate changes to improve the business, such as revising opening hours in consultation with HR & Admin to ensure the showroom can effectively compete in the local market.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints and initiate appropriate actions.
  • Oversee pricing and stock control.
  • Keep statistical and financial records up-to-date.
  • Complete special projects as required by the General Manager BD.
  • Address staffing issues in consultation with HR & Admin, such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as providing training and development.
  • Ensure standards for quality, customer service, and health and safety are met.
  • Organize special promotions, displays, and events.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives, and monitoring what local competitors are doing.
  • Lead and motivate a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
  • Control and monitor all operational activities of the showroom including, but not limited to, general management, cleanliness, repair/maintenance, etc.
  • Assign tasks to showroom staff and monitor their progress.
Job Requirements
  1. A bachelor's degree is mandatory, however preference will be given to master's degree holders from HEC recognized universities in management sciences.
  2. A minimum of 3-5 years of similar experience in handling retail outlet/showroom is required. Fully qualified and experienced in showroom sales.
  3. A pleasant and confident personality is essential.
  4. Good communication, organizational, IT, and presentation skills are required.
  5. Proficient in dealing with client demands and able to handle customer complaints efficiently.
