Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Insights Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and be able to apply advanced quantitative techniques to drive business decisions.

About the Role:

  • We generate evidence using quantitative analysis supported by qualitative methods, enabling us to assess program rollouts and gauge intended outcomes accurately.
  • Ours is a wide-ranging area encompassing program design, decision support systems, operational excellence, product design, and market analysis, all supported by evidence and analytics.
  • The role provides an opportunity to apply advanced quantitative analysis techniques to diverse problems in various domains, enhancing domain knowledge in education, health, and other sectors.
  • You will deploy superior data visualization and writing skills to document analysis for sharing with various audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate/Lead the design and execution of quantitative research, ensuring ethical considerations.
  • Develop theory of change and log frames, select evaluation methods for projects with an M&E component.
  • Design data collection instruments/questionnaires, configure field teams for high-quality data, and ensure quality of daily/periodic data collection.
  • Analyse quantitative data using econometrics techniques to draw meaningful insights, combining datasets to draw conclusions.
  • Interpret and synthesize quantitative findings to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate research findings to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience, with at least 2 years in Senior Associate roles.
  • Experience leading or substantially participating in the full lifecycle of at least three data analytics projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Public Policy/Public Health, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Good understanding of data visualization.
  • Solid grounding in econometrics and research methods.
  • High proficiency in STATA or equivalent data analysis tools, R, Python, or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills, including oral and written presentation abilities.
  • Highly motivated individual with top-notch work ethic and high integrity.
  • Ability to work in teams and provide leadership to junior analysts.
