As a critical member of our team, we are seeking an accomplished Database Manager to play a vital role in ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of our database infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering, monitoring, and supporting production and non-production databases on cloud platforms, including AWS Aurora RDS (MySQL).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring database security, integrity, and availability
  • Performing backup and recovery procedures
  • Implementing and managing database maintenance plans, including patching and upgrades
  • Optimizing and tuning database performance, including query optimization and index management

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience as a MySQL Database Administrator, preferably on AWS Aurora
  • Hands-on experience managing relational databases in AWS
  • Familiarity with database automation, monitoring, and alerting tools
