Visual Storyteller

As a highly skilled Visual Storyteller, you will be responsible for creating innovative and engaging visual designs that bring stories to life. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects and collaborate with a talented team of professionals.

A) Primary Functions of the Job:

  1. Develop and lead design concepts, ideas, and detailed specifications of visual designs for stories based on existing styles, innovative ideas, and prototypes.
  2. Adapt to different illustration styles and have a good eye for detail. You can copy and capture different illustration and artist styles and reproduce images and illustrations.
  3. Explore new techniques, styles, illustration methods, and technologies to be recommended and implemented in innovative solutions.
  4. Create both two-dimensional and three-dimensional images and animated sequences.
  5. Be a good listener, able to adapt ideas, come up with multiple concepts, and clearly articulate the trade-offs of each concept to get buy-in from all participants.
  6. Provide work direction, mentor, and train less-experienced writers and supported groups.
  7. Initiate, coordinate, and lead cross-functional illustration projects; negotiate project priorities, deliverables, and timelines to meet the needs of compliance and supported functional areas.

B) Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least a 2-year degree preferably in creative or fine arts.
  • You must be a creative artist with a vivid imagination.
  • You must be versed in traditional illustration skills, perspective, life drawing, design specifications, design prototypes, storyboards, scenarios, color theory, and basic layout design.
  • 1+ year experience in traditional illustration skills, story characters perspective, life drawing, design specifications, design prototypes, storyboards, scenarios, color theory, and basic layout design.
  • Reliable, dependable & someone who goes out of the way to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of illustration tools like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Flash, 3D & character animation is a plus.
