Responsibilities
  • Meet performance targets assigned by the Head of Department (HOD) to ensure high-quality teaching and learning environment for students.
  • Work with the Dean/Director of University to develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student success.
  • Teach assigned courses as per faculty workload policy to provide comprehensive education to students.
  • Contribute to the development of learning materials, schemes of work, and record-keeping to monitor student progress and achievement.
  • Assist in creating module information packs, assignments, and examination questions to facilitate assessment and feedback.
  • Continuously improve own teaching skills and contribute to planning and implementing teaching programs to enhance student learning experience.
  • Employ innovative teaching strategies and facilitate experiential learning during lessons to engage students.
  • Liaise and maintain good relationships with academic colleagues and industry professionals.
  • Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements to provide practical experience and guidance.
  • Set, mark, and assess student work and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Mentor 15-20 students through the Riphah Mentoring Program to foster their personal and professional development.
  • Update data in Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and other required software as needed to ensure accurate records.
  • Evaluate and incorporate Islamic and ethical values into teaching practices.
  • Participate in departmental and university committee activities to contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Foster an inclusive learning environment by aligning teaching content and methods with RIU's mission, addressing subordinates' and students' needs promptly.
