Research Scholar Position in Botany

We are inviting applications from Pakistani nationals who meet the qualifications and experience required for the research scholar position in the Department of Botany.

The project is funded by the Higher Education Commission under Project Ref # 20-16423/NRPU/R&D/HEC/2021-2020 titled "Developing mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) genetic transformation system for herbicide tolerance targeting CP4-EPSPS gene".

About the Role:
  • To conduct research in the field of botany with a focus on developing a genetic transformation system for herbicide tolerance in mung bean.
  • To apply advanced molecular biology techniques to identify and isolate genes responsible for herbicide tolerance.
  • To collaborate with other researchers to achieve project objectives.
Requirements:
  • Enrolled MS/MPhil scholar in the discipline of botany.
  • Relevant experience will be preferred.
What We Offer:
  • A monthly stipend of Rs. 16,000/- per month.
  • A contract duration of 10 months.
