
Training Specialist

This position is responsible for providing comprehensive training to teachers, ensuring a smooth and efficient running of classrooms.
Job Responsibilities- Develop and implement staff training programs to enhance teaching skills and classroom management.
- Conduct in-depth orientation for new employees, covering topics such as teacher-child interactions and program planning.
- Provide guidance on establishing routines to facilitate transitions and promote independence.
- Design and lead engaging circle time sessions during orientation.
- Serve lunch and snacks properly and emphasize the importance of personal responsibility.
- Train staff on effective use of centers and orderly procedures.
- Observe and train experienced staff to improve their methods.
- Set goals for experienced teachers to enhance their performance.
- Assist directors in completing forms for staff requiring specific training.
- Arrange rooms as needed with assistance from regional directors.
- Update the handbook for teachers, including curriculum guidelines and teaching methods.
- Supervise staff and schools, including weekly meetings with the director of curriculum.
- Order and distribute supplies and toys for classrooms.
- Communicate with floor directors about issues and concerns related to staff and children's behavior.
- Inspect schools quarterly for maintenance and supplies.
- Stay updated on new ideas by attending trainings and sharing information with the director of curriculum and staff.
- Supply individualized monthly meeting notes to schools before staff meetings, with a copy to the director of curriculum.
- Update libraries at schools monthly, including tracking missing books.
- Work with directors to ensure consistency in procedures across all schools.
- Maintain the environment and ensure proper postings.
- Participate in yearly training, which includes Back to Basics, planning, circle time, progress reports, curriculum frameworks, and Teaching Strategies Gold.
- Meet weekly with the director of curriculum.
- Submit a timesheet with hours worked and locations.
- Provide a projected work plan for the upcoming week by Friday.
- Maintain a floor notebook at every site, discussing strengths and weaknesses with the director of curriculum.
- A smoother operation of each classroom.
- Ongoing improvement of all staff.
- A more efficient operation of the school as a whole.
- New staff who are well-equipped to perform their duties.
- Seasoned staff who continually improve their performance.
Collaborate with floor directors to assess staff members and create improvement plans. Floor directors will notify you of teachers needing additional training. When suggesting changes in a teacher's methods, document them and provide a copy to the floor director.
