Job Title: Cybersecurity Expert - Microsoft Defender EDR/XDR Specialist

About the Job:

  • This role requires a strong background in deploying and supporting Microsoft's Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solutions.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a customer-facing environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Deployment and Support: Deploy and configure Microsoft's EDR/XDR solutions at the customer's premises. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the deployed solutions.
  2. Security Monitoring: Monitor and analyze security events and alerts to identify potential threats.
  3. Integration and Troubleshooting: Work closely with the customer's IT team to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of the EDR/XDR solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the deployment and operation of the solutions.
  4. Security Assessments: Conduct regular security assessments and provide recommendations for improving the customer's security posture.
  5. Documentation and Training: Create and maintain documentation related to the deployment, configuration, and support of the EDR/XDR solutions. Provide training and knowledge transfer to the customer's IT staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in deploying and supporting Microsoft's EDR/XDR solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft security technologies, including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Sentinel, and related tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate or similar are a plus.
