Job Overview

As a key member of our team, this role involves evaluating and mitigating information security risks to our applications, APIs, and portals.

The primary responsibility is to safeguard software applications from potential threats and vulnerabilities by analyzing and effectively testing the implementation of different application security controls.

This role reports directly to the Cyber Security Stream Head and requires collaboration with an extended team of 11 members.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain a robust application security framework for our digital footprint.
  2. Identify weaknesses in custom-developed/security systems and built servers, web portals/dashboards, and user applications.
  3. Perform security testing of all services before going live.
  4. Conduct periodic security verifications of services.
  5. Ensure the security/data protection for applications vulnerable to internal/external attackers.
  6. Detect bugs/errors embedded in source code of android/iOS/other language-based apps.
  7. Analyze the communication path/matrix of applications to track host servers and IP addresses accordingly.
  8. Implement preventive measures to protect leakage of confidential/sensitive information.
  9. Coordinate and manage stakeholder expectations with the right balance of security controls.

Qualifications
  • BS/MS in Information Security or Information Technology.
  • Practical experience in application security in banking/Telco sector.
  • At least 01 years of experience in security design and penetration testing of mobile applications & APIs.

Functional and Technical Requirements
  1. Ability to organize, plan, and document tasks;
  2. Ability to manage internal & external stakeholders;
  3. Possess good logical and analytical skills to help in analysis of Cyber Security risk.
  4. In-depth knowledge of SDLC processes;
  5. In-depth knowledge of multiple commonly used programming languages used for Mobile and Web-based application programming and APIs;
  6. Knowledge/understanding of industry best practice secure software development frameworks (e.g. OWASP).
  7. In-depth knowledge of Application, Network, and System security controls;
  8. In-depth knowledge of API security controls and vulnerabilities;
  9. Hands-on experience of use of Penetration testing tools and code review;
  10. Skill in recognizing and categorizing types of vulnerabilities and associated attacks;
  11. Skill in conducting trend analysis and reporting.
